Louisiana Small Business Development Center, LSUA

Evelyn is the business consultant/manager of the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) hosted by LSUA.  Prior to joining the LSBDC, she served 16 years as the senior marketing officer for Red River Bank. She was responsible for all aspects of marketing including advertising, public relations, and digital media, as well as corporate communication and branding for multiple lines of business.  In addition to marketing and planning experience for the private sector, she has co-owned and acted as a senior consultant in marketing and strategic planning for her private consulting firm working with a wide range of clients throughout the United States.

Over the years, she has also worked with arts, tourism and humanitarian organizations. In addition to her work life, she serves on the board for Hope House women’s shelter, and Glass Act, the recently formed non-profit organization.

Evelyn earned a B.A. in Journalism/Mass Communications from Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge. She is a lifelong resident of Alexandria and is a long-time member of Calvary Baptist Church. She is the wife of Lafe Jones, mother to 2 grown children and has one amazing grand baby, Stella!
